Lord Stanley's Trophy

Submitted by Leif_Erickson on Wed, 06/04/2003 - 06:21.

I'm thinking the Ducks will dig this one out. The merkle continues by the big pond. Wonder if Walt ever thought his name would be associated with any professional sports franchise.

Walt's ducks

Submitted by Sonny_Drysdale on Thu, 06/05/2003 - 10:53.

Didn't Walt have himself frozen? He's probably watching from just below the surface of center ice. Must be - I know his kin were from Canada.

Sonny, the cryogenic suspension story is just that. Disney was never frozen or even frigid. Just ask his children about he and their mom. They didn't call him old rocket rod for nothin'. But the idea of Walt frozen at center ice is very funny. That I could see in a horror movie -- Walt unthawed during game seven, grabbing the enforcer's foot by his skates and pulling him down to his death under the ice. Or maybe he starts feeding on the ref. I mean, come on, the guy hasn't had a bite to eat in decades.
