This week, we celebrate acquiring a nice new clean copy of "It's Not Unusual" by Les Reed. We previously only owned this on an old cassette. Hooray! The hoopla continues with a couple choice but somewhat off "Hair" covers and doesn't stop until we get to a track from another album it took me years to track down. Oh, I've got the cover to Steam's self-titled album, but no record inside! Luckily, I managed to talk someone into ripping me a digital copy, which will have to suffice for now. Speaking of rips, we've also got a great Beatles cover from Los Diplomaticos -- the only salvagable track from a Mexican album I found in tke Florida Keys last winter. This track proves that with a little time and patience, vinyl rehabilitation software can be made to work. As for the rest of the program, it's the same lazy-assed grab-bag of tracks you've grown to love, distinguished mostly by the fact that my regular microphone's pre-amp (actually, an old cassette deck with a mike input) died suddenly this spring, thus forcing me to use comparatively inferior equipment for the host segments. You may not notice, but it's sure to make me cringe. Don't miss it!
